Recycling centres

Following Government guidance, we are re-opening our recycling centres.

You must not visit your local recycling centre if you or someone you live with has symptoms of COVID-19. This includes a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss of taste or smell.

Before you travel, consider if your journey is necessary.

Please continue to use your kerbside recycling and waste collection service.
Only visit a recycling centre to get rid of items that you are unable to dispose of at the kerbside.

We’ve made some changes to the items we accept at the recycling centres.

Only cars will be accepted on site, no high-sided vehicles, vans or trailers will be allowed.

  • Please note that 6/7 seater vehicles will only be accepted with the 1/2 rear seats folded down.

To visit a recycling centre you will need to book a slot online. You will need to book each time you visit. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. You will need to set up an account and provide your home address and your vehicle registration details.

We expect demand for our recycling centres to be high. Please bear with us. If you do not get a slot straight away, keep trying.

Opening times

Bessemer Close recycling centre will reopen on May 26 2020.
Lamby Way recycling centre will reopen on May 31 2020.

The sites will be open from 8.30am – 4.30pm, seven days a week.

What you can take to the recycling centres

The following items will be accepted at our recycling centres:

Large, bulky items are not accepted unless they are made of one of the materials listed above, fit into the boot of your car and can be safely carried by one person. Our staff will not be able to assist you to unload your car.

If your item is not listed above, do not bring it. You will not be allowed to access the site.
