Renting Homes (Wales) Act

The Renting Homes (Wales) Act was introduced in Wales on Thursday 1st December 2022.  

 

This new law applies to all tenants and landlords of private and social (Council and Housing Association) housing in Wales.

 

If you are a Cardiff Council tenant​, you will continue to have the right to live in your home and Cardiff Council will still be your landlord.

If you rent privately, contact your landlord, or if you are a private landlord, please contact our Landlord Enquiries and Tenant Support Services (LETS) Service on 029 2057 0750, option 1 who will be able provide you with guidance and support on the changes and requirements of the Legislation.
