Performance

We want Cardiff Council to be an excellent council. To help make this happen we regularly monitor how well we’re doing.

Our Corporate PlanLink opens in a new window tells you what we want to achieve and how we are going to do it. It outlines our priorities and well-being objectives, these are underpinned by a set of measures and targets to be monitored each year.

Well-being objectives are strategic objectives that will ensure the Council is contributing to the delivery of the well-being goals. They are designed to maximise the contribution to the achievement of the Well-being Goals and are a mandatory requirement of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.

This helps us to celebrate our successes and to focus on areas where we need to do better.

We publish reports quarterly throughout the financial year to share this information, which are reviewed by the Policy Review and Performance Scrutiny CommitteeLink opens in a new window . We also publish a Well-being ReportLink opens in a new window annually that analyses our performance against what we said we would do in the Corporate Plan.

We will publish the results of the measures when they become available, this will usually be:
  • Quarter 1 (April – June) in July
  • Quarter 2 (July – September) in October
  • Quarter 3 (October – December) in January
  • Quarter 4 (January – March) in April
