School Crossing Patrols are employed to help provide a safer route for pupils travelling to and from school. This service assists in encouraging sustainable travel and healthy living options.
There are currently over 40 school crossing patrol officers in Cardiff serving their local community primary schools.
A reminder for motorists
When approaching a school crossing patrol you should always be prepared to slow down or stop. Once the officer raises the stop sign in a vertical position you must by law stop. You must not wait for them to step off the pavement.
