About Independent Living Services

Due to current restrictions Independent Living Services will only be providing essential face to face services to minimise social contacts and to ensure we are able to help those most in need, following strict COVID guidelines. Services will continue to be available via telephone.

To help keep you and our staff safe and to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19, all services have put in place measures approved by Cardiff Councils Health and Safety team, such as wearing personal protective equipment and maintaining strict social distancing rules when delivering all our services.
Focusing on the elderly and disabled people, our Independent Living Services can help you access a wide range of support to help you live as independently as possible.

We may provide a visiting service for help and advice on benefits to help maximise your income. We can also help you reduce your outgoings by advising you on how to make your home more energy-efficient and tell you about any grants or discounts you may be entitled to.

If you are finding it harder to carry out everyday tasks and to look after yourself, some minor adaptations or new equipment could make all the difference. We can contact other services on your behalf and co-ordinate with them to ensure that any changes are tailored to you and your needs.

And we can put you in touch with local organisations who arrange regular social events, outings, luncheon clubs and much more. We can also provide support and advice if you are struggling to prepare your meals and eat healthily.

If you would like to find out more, please contact us.
