The Schools Forums (Wales) Regulations 2003 came into force on 1st November 2003. The regulations stated that each Local Authority must establish a Schools Forum for its area by 30 November 2003.
The main purpose of the Forum is to provide all major stakeholders with an opportunity to offer advice to the Authority on school budgets in each financial year.
The Forum will be known as the Cardiff Schools Budget Forum.
