Recycling zones are available in Hubs and libraries across the city so that you can recycle small items that we do not collect from your home.
Community recycling zones do not accept larger appliances like vacuum cleaners, microwaves or televisions. You can take large items to a recycling centre. You can also book a bulky item collection from your home if you cannot take these yourself.

Recycling small electricals
You can use pink recycling banks at Hubs to drop off unwanted small electricals. You can recycle anything with a plug, battery or cable that fits into the bank.
This does not include:
- large appliances,
- vapes,
- lightbulbs, or
- batteries.
Recycling points at local shops
Local shops and supermarkets will usually offer recycling points for various items, such as:
- carrier bags,
- batteries, and
- soft plastics.
