Transport SPG and Technical Standards

​Cardiff Council’s Managing Transportation Impacts SPG was approved in July 2018. It sets out Cardiff Council’s approach to assessing and managing the transport impacts of developments and supplements the transport and other related policies in Cardiff’s Local Development Plan 2006-2026.

The Technical Standards (2.89mb PDF)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Link opens in a new window cover the design approval process for Section 278 and 38 schemes and the required standards for new road layouts to an Adoptable Standard.  The standards also provides the required construction standards and advice on design elements including the interaction of pedestrian, cycle and vehicle facilities. The information in this document has been designed for print and may not be fully accessible online.​
