If you are a care leaver aged 24 or under, you could be exempt from paying council tax if you live:
If you live with another adult, you could get a 25% reduction.
Applying for a discount or exemption
If you would like to apply for an exemption or discount, you can email: ctax@cardiff.gov.uk
You will need to tell us:
- your name,
- your address,
- your council tax account number,
- your date of birth,
- the names of the people you live with, and
- the status of the people that you live with (for example, if they are a student).
