The responsible authorities and local residents have a right to make representations and have their views on an application taken into account by the licensing authority provided the views expressed are relevant to the licensing objectives.
The licensing objectives are:
- the prevention of crime and disorder,
- public safety,
- the prevention of public nuisance, and
- the protection of children from harm.

Making representations
We must receive representations within 28 days of the application being made.
Once we have received you representation, we will arrange for the application to be considered by a Licensing Sub-Committee. You will be advised and given the opportunity to make representations on the application in person.
