Rhydypennau and Whitchurch Library Wellbeing Hubs

Cardiff Council is proposing to extend services at Whitchurch and Rhydypennau Libraries and create new Wellbeing Hubs.  We want your views on what additional services and activities  should be provided to complement the existing Library service.

Building on the success of our Community Hubs Programme, the Council has identified an opportunity to create Wellbeing Hubs to serve communities in the northern part of the city.

With an increasingly older population, there is a need to focus on social wellbeing, healthy and active lifestyles, community engagement and independent living.  In response to this, the Hub will offer programmes tailored to community needs and will work with partner organisations, local groups and volunteers to enhance the services we offer you.

To accommodate changes in service provision, proposals have been developed for improving the Whitchurch Library building, including an enlarged extension, reinstatement of the original entrance, internal refurbishment, and accessible toilets. These proposals are currently subject to funding approvals.

We want your views on the future planning, development and delivery of Wellbeing services in Whitchurch.

Please come along to the drop in sessions below to discuss your views with Council staff and fill in a survey about what services you and the family would use.
