Pupils can catch the bus to school for free if they are:
- In primary school, aged 11 or under, and live more than two miles walking distance from the nearest appropriate catchment school.
- In secondary school, aged 16 or under, and live more than three miles walking distance from the nearest appropriate catchment school for their home address.

Pupils will have to pay to catch the school bus if they:
- Go to a school which is not the nearest school of that type to their home.
- Live closer than two miles (or three for secondary school pupils) from their school.
