You will receive one of the following offers:​​ 

  • ​​A place at your first preference school.
    You will need to accept this offer by the deadline. You must respond to accept or decline your offer by Friday 30th April 2021.

  • A place at a lower preference school.
    This happens when your first preference does not have enough places available. Even if you are not sure about the lower preference offered, we strongly encourage you to accept this by the deadline and stay on the waiting list for your higher preference school. You still retain your right to appeal even if you accept a lower offer. ​

  • N​o offer.
    This happens when all of your preferences do not have enough places available for us to offer in line with your request. There are still alternative places available in Cardiff schools for your child.

​​If you have applied late or you have asked for communication by post you will receive one of the following offer letters:

If we have not received your response by Friday​ 30th April 2021 we will assume that you no longer want the place and it may be withdr​awn and offered to another child. 

​Once you have accepted the offer the offer the school will contact you with details of the admissions arrangements.

Coordinated Admissions

You can apply for all community primary schools and St Mellons CiW Primary School.

Please note that 15 school places are allocated by the school in line with their admissions policy and a further 15 places are allocated using the Council’s School Admission policy 2021/22.​​
