A planning application detailing plans for the new Eastern High School has been submitted.
This follows approval in March 2010 from the Welsh Government Minister for Children, Education and Lifelong Learning, Leighton Andrews to close Llanrumney and Rumney High Schools to create a new secondary school on part of the fields known as Rumney Recreation ground subject to obtaining any necessary planning consents.
Exhibition
An exhibition will be in place until 22 July at Eastern Leisure Centre, which provides outline details of the proposed new buildings. Copies of this exhibition will also be displayed at the following locations:
- Llanrumney High School
- Rumney High School
- Llanrumney Library
- Rumney Library
- St Mellon's Library,
- and in all the feeder primary schools
