Cardiff Council

A report has been published following a full public consultation on proposed changes to the catchment area of Welsh-medium Secondary Schools in Cardiff in light of a decision to create an additional Welsh-medium High School in the East of the city.

A public consultation took place earlier in the year. On the 7th April the Council's Executive will consider the following recommendations as a result of the views expressed in this consultation:

  • Approve the proposed catchment areas, so that the requirements to determine the admission arrangements are met and the arrangements are implemented from September 2012
  • Allow officers to consult at the appropriate time on the transfer of the Ysgol Pwll Coch catchment area to the Ysgol Glantaf catchment area from September 2013

We will keep you up to date throughout this process, keep checking our website for more information about schools reorganisation however if you have a question e-mail or call 029 2087 2720.
