A new 21st century learning campus for the east of Cardiff – Eastern High School and post 16 education delivered by Cardiff and Vale College
The City of Cardiff Council is developing a new state of the art 21st Century school building for Eastern High School, with post 16 education delivered by Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) on a shared site at Trowbridge Road, Rumney.

This innovative partnership will stretch our ambitions for education and training in the east of the city, bringing about an inspirational, inclusive and influential facility for the whole of the community.

It will include:

  • New High School for pupils 11 – 16 years (8 form entry)
  • New College with post 16 education
  • Areas for use by the community including multi-use sports facilities

Drop in sessions have been announced to:

  • give people an understanding of the site and proposed design;
  • identify any concerns and opportunities regarding the scheme;
  • identify people's needs and aspirations including community use of the new building;
  • provide an opportunity for people to ask questions and find out more

The new facility is intended to be open in September 2017.

The community drop in sessions will run for 2 weeks, from Monday 5th January to Friday 16th January 2015
