Waste Collection Arrangements for the Bank Holiday

Recycling and waste collections in the following wards will take place on Sunday 4th June instead of Friday 2nd June. 
  • Heath 
  • Whitchurch 
  • Rhiwbina 
  • Llanishen 
  • Lisvane

  • This is due to the combined effects of the Bank Holiday on 29th May and the traffic arrangements in place for the UEFA Champions League Final ​on Saturday 3rd June.

    All other ward collections will be one day later than scheduled.

Recycling is collected every week in green bags.Food waste collected every week in brown kerbside caddies. ​ General waste and Garden waste is collected less often​.  The containers used for general waste and garden waste are dependent on your property type.

All bins, bags and kerbside caddies must be put out before 6:00am on the day of collection, or no earlier than 4:30pm the day before.


Collections run throughout the day from 6am till 10pm.

Bins should be returned to your property by 9am the day after collection, and remain in your property boundary.  This will limit the potential of theft and/ or damage by another person.
