A recycling bank is one or more large bins or containers where you can take items to be recycled. They are located across the city in areas the public can access such as car parks of large supermarkets, community centres or pubs, and are emptied once a week. Typical recycling banks are pictured below, they will be clearly labelled to show where you can recycle your items. They vary in size and type across the city.

They can be used to recycle:
- glass bottles and jars
- plastic bottles
- cans and tins
- paper
- textiles
