Tree protection

Tree Preservation Orders (TPO) apply to specific trees and woodlands in Cardiff to help protect them.

It is illegal to cut down, prune, destroy or damage trees covered by a TPO, unless permission has been given by the council. In order to seek permission you must first complete an application for tree works subject to a TPO.​​​​​​​External link opens in a new window
