How much does it cost?

How do I pay for my ticket?
Payment can be made to the driver as you board the bus. 

The exact fare is not required but it does help the driver if you do have the correct fare.

Will my Concessionary Bus Pass be accepted on the bus?
No. The Park and Ride services do not accept Concessionary passes or other bus tickets. 

What days does the service operate?
The service operates 7 days a week except Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

What are the opening times for the Park and Ride sites?

Park and Ride buses operate every 15 minutes throughout most of the day.


On Millennium Stadium Event days the frequency and operating hours may vary. 

Where do I get off and back on the bus in the city centre ?
The main stop is bus shelter HN on Churchill Way (service X59). The service also drops off on Station Terrace in the city centre.  
The same stop on Churchill Way is used for the return journey back to the car park.

How long does the journey from the car park to the city centre take ?
19 minutes depending upon traffic conditions. 

Can I leave my car at the sites overnight?
Yes, but only for one night, the site is locked and has CCTV security. Please remember cars are parked at the owners’ risk. You will need to pay for another ticket as your initial ticket will be out of date.   

Is there a height restriction for vehicles?
There are no height restrictions at the site. 

Can I park a motor-home at the car park?
Yes but you are not permitted to sleep overnight in the vehicle.

Can I take a wheelchair or pram on the bus?
Yes, buses are low floor and wheelchair accessible and able to take prams. Space on the bus for wheelchairs and prams is limited. 

Are there any toilet facilities on site?
Yes, there are also disabled toilet facilities available.

Is the car park manned?
Yes, the car park is staffed by at least one attendant. ​
