Refugee Week Wales is celebrated from the 15th – 21st of June and the theme is “Imagine”. It is a week of arts, cultural and educational events to celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK and to encourage a better understanding between communities. It aims to deliver positive messages to counter some of the fears, ignorance and negative stereotypes about the reasons why people seek sanctuary.

Wales has a proud history of being a great place of sanctuary and welcome to those fleeing their homeland due to many forms of persecution. The talent, gratitude and ability to survive and overcome unimaginable life circumstances can be seen in the contribution which refugees and asylum seekers make to Welsh society. Refugee Week is an opportunity to celebrate these inspirational and deeply moving contributions and refocus the spotlight onto positive life changing stories for individuals and communities in Wales.

This Refugee Week Quiz aims to raise awareness about some of the local and national organisations working with refugees and asylum seekers to help them settle in a new place.
