There are loads of books to choose from, from current best sellers to self-help books, classic fiction to cookery books.
You'll need to create an account the first time you use this service and have your library card number and PIN to hand. If you have forgotten your PIN please contact us.
How to borrow eBooks

eBooks can be downloaded on to your PC or laptop, then transferred to your smart phone, tablet PC or selected eReaders. You can borrow up to six eBooks at a time, for up to three weeks. After this period they will disappear from your device.
Before you borrow
The first time you use the service, you will be prompted to download and install Adobe® Digital Editions if this software is not already on your PC or Mac. Adobe® Digital Editions software offers an easy and engaging way to view and manage your eBooks, including transferring them to portable devices.
eBooks for Wales is jointly funded by the Welsh Government and 19 other local authority library services.
How to borrow eAudiobooks

eAudiobooks can be downloaded to your PC or Mac and then transferred to your MP3 player, iPod, smart phone or other device. You can borrow up to ten eAudiobooks at a time, for up to three weeks. You can also renew your items if you wish to keep them for longer.
Before you borrow
The first time you use the service, you will be asked to download and install the OneClickdigital Media Manager software. The OneClickdigital Media Manager is the easiest way for you to download, transfer and manage your eAudiobooks.

How to borrow eMagazines
ZinioExternal link opens in a new window is a Wales-wide subscription service to provide library members free online access to around 250 popular magazine titles – from cycling to cooking or fashion to fitness – available to library members free of charge via their laptop, PC/Mac, e-reader, tablet or smartphone.
Many titles also offer access to a comprehensive library of back issues.
Before you borrow
To use Zinio you must be a member of a Cardiff Library. If you’re not a member, you can find out how to join here.
You will need to use your library membership number in order to set up an account.

Please note that during registration you will be asked to create two accounts.
The first account lets you browse the library's collection of free magazines. The second account is required by the Zinio.com site to read and download the magazines for free. For your convenience, be sure to use the same email and password for both accounts.
