New Developments

View details of properties available on new housing developments.

Cardiff Living is an innovative development programme between Cardiff Council and Wates Residential.  The 10 year development programme will deliver approximately 1,500 new energy efficient, sustainable homes on various sites across Cardiff and will be a mix of private and affordable housing.

Around 600 of the homes will be new council homes for rent and there will also be a number of properties available to buy through the Council’s Assisted Home Ownership Scheme.  The properties will be sold through the scheme at 70% of open market value and the Council will retain the remaining 30% equity share.

The story so far...

Construction is well underway at our first six sites and so far, 55 affordable homes have been completed at Silvervale Park in St Mellons, Captain’s Walk and Captain’s View in Llanrumney and Ty To Maen Close in Old St Mellons, with residents moving in Nov/Dec 2018 and February 2019.  Open Market sales are also progressing well, with many homes being purchased by local people. 7 homes have also been allocated via the Assisted Home Ownership Scheme on both Silvervale Park and Mount Pleasant Lane to first time buyers, with 2 homeowners completing their purchase very recently.

Please use the site-specific links below to find out more about the properties available to purchase through the scheme and how you apply.
