We are pleased to offer naming ceremonies in partnership with Civil Ceremonies LtdLink opens in a new window

A naming ceremony is a special way of welcoming children, step-children and adopted children of any age into a new family. A professional Celebrant will carry out the ceremony.

Ceremonies last between 15 minutes and half an hour depending on how many readings and additional options you choose and can be for more than one child if you’d like to include your older children. Parents do not have to be married and can come from any cultural background, with any or no spiritual or religious beliefs.

Ceremonies can be held in council venues, including the St David's room at City Hall and other Approved Premises such as hotels or reception rooms but not in private houses.
