Certificates are £11 each and you will need to include a cheque or postal order made out to 'Cardiff Council' with your application which you should send to:
Cardiff Register Office, City Hall, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3ND.
We will issue the certificate by second class post within 15 working days.
Please note we do not accept cash payments.
You can apply in person at Cardiff Register Office, City Hall. No appointment is necessary and our opening hours are 8.30am-4.00pm Monday-Thursday, and 9.00am-4.00pm on Friday.
You will need to complete the relevant application form and payment can be made by cash or debit / credit card.
You can also apply by phoning 029 2087 1680/4 during office opening hours. If you are applying over the phone you will need to pay using a credit or debit card, so please have your card details ready when phoning.
There are 2 services you can choose from:
Standard Service: Copy certificates ordered will be ready to collect in person or be sent out second class within 15 working days at a cost of £11.00 per certificate.
Priority Service: Copy certificates can be ordered up to 3pm Monday - Friday and collected from the Register Office reception on or before the next working day at the cost of £35.00 per certificate.
