Qualifying foreign citizen who live in Wales and are 16 or over can vote in:
- Welsh Parliament (the Senedd) Elections,
- Local Government Elections in Wales.
Qualifying foreign citizens cannot currently vote in UK Government Elections.
Who classes as a qualifying foreign citizen?
You class as a qualifying foreign citizen if you have, or are treated as having, leave to enter and remain in the UK, and you are not:
- a Commonwealth citizen, or
- a citizen of the Republic of Ireland
