2018 review of Parliamentary constituencies in Wales initial proposals

On 17th October 2017 the Boundary Commission published its revised proposals for Parliamentary constituencies in Wales.

The Commission's revised proposals take into account the responses that were received in response to the initial proposals published in September 2016, during two periods of extensive and informative public consultation.

The proposals continue to meet the requirements of the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011, including a reduction in the number of constituencies in Wales from 40 to 29 and a more equal number of electors in each constituency (between 71,031 and 78,507).

The Commission's revised proposals report is available for download from their website which can be found on the Commission’s websiteExternal link opens in a new window
