Ministers have said that democracy should not be cancelled because of Covid-19, for this reason the election on Thursday 6 May 2021 will take place taking into account public health guidance.
If you are attending a venue in person you must follow public health guidelines:
- wear a mask
- sanitise your hands when entering and exiting the venue
- adhere to social distancing
- follow one way systems in place where relevant

- Appointments required to submit nomination papers
- Deposit payments via BACs
- Completion of Track and Trace information
Postal Vote Opening Sessions
- Restriction on the number of postal vote agents attending at any one time
Poll Day
- Restriction on the number of polling agents attending at any one time
- Tellers will not be permitted into the polling station building and must remain outside and follow public health guidelines
Verification and Count
- Restriction on the number of count agents and guests attending
