- This multi-agency approach seeks to reduce the number of children, young people and families requiring statutory services provided by Social Services and make prevention everybody’s business.

- The approach empowers families to identify their own problems, needs and solutions but provides a framework for professionals to see, assess plan, do and review.
- The aim is to build resilience in children and families so that they have the capacity to overcome their own difficulties for the remainder of their lives.
