Lamby Way Solar Farm

Pre-application consultation is underway to inform a planning application to Cardiff Council for a renewable energy development at Lamby Way.
The development will involve the installation of ground-mounted solar panels with an expected output of 8.7 megawatts (MW) on 16.89Ha (hectares) of land formerly used for landfill.

The area of land has been remediated and landscaped since its last active use as a landfill site.

The proposals seek to use this land whilst remediation continues, whilst also providing a key contribution to the Welsh Government’s low carbon and renewable energy targets.

Have your say

Please note that the 28 day consultation period has now ended.  However, this page will remain open for the documents to be viewed up to the submission of the planning application.

You can access hard copies of the consultation documents at Rumney Partnership Hub.
