City Recovery and RenewalCity Recovery and RenewalEconomic development
The Covid-19 pandemic has had an extraordinary impact on Cardiff, changing the way we live our lives and how we do business in ways few of us could have imagined.

As the city recovers from the pandemic, it is essential that we consider the steps we need to take next to accelerate recovery, whilst at the same time recognising that we need to use the crisis as a catalyst to build back stronger, greener and fairer.

The strategy for Recovery and Renewal sets out a series of key missions to deliver the next phase of the city's development, and we are keen to hear your views on the plans.
Have your say on plans to develop Atlantic WharfAtlantic Wharf, Butetown, Cardiff ConsultationEconomic development
Cardiff Council plan to create one of the best city visitors destinations in the UK at Atlantic Wharf, Butetown, Cardiff, a place to live, work, play, relax and have fun. The aim is to better connect Cardiff Bay with the city and grow the economy by making better use of the land and we need your help to shape the development.

The masterplan proposal is for a new public square, the new arena, a multistorey car park, a redeveloped Red Dragon Centre providing a retail and leisure hub, new offices, two new hotels and 1,100 new homes. This will be supported by extended transport links to the City and St Mellons and a new transport hub in the Bay.

We'd like your views on these proposals
Local Development Plan 2021 - 2036Local Development Plan 2021 - 2036Community Development
The Replacement Local Development Plan (LDP) will help shape Cardiff for the next 15 years to 2036 ensuring the right development happens in the right place at the right time, benefitting communities and the economy and setting out which areas need to be protected.

The survey is designed to get your feedback and get people thinking about the balances the plan will have to consider in order to generate debate and understanding rather than right or wrong answers.
