Learning

child at school

These pages are your guide to education in Cardiff for people of all ages. This is where you'll find useful information on everything from nursery school places to adult evening classes.

The time spent at any of our schools should be a positive and enjoyable part of a child's life. This section is designed to provide pupils and parents with the resources they need to get the most out of our education services. Use these pages to find a school, see our school transport policy or check school holidays and term dates.

There is additional learning support available for pupils who need it and you may be entitled to financial help with school meals or uniforms. We also provide advice, support and training for school governors.

The Families Learning Together programme offers parents an understanding of how their children are taught within their child's school.

We run over 1000 Adult and Community Learning courses in a wide range subjects from cake decorating to music and drama. We offer English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and a range of specialist courses specifically designed for adults with disabilities. We also provide Basic Skills tuition in literacy, numeracy and computer skills at a number of centres throughout Cardiff.

Whether you're keen to develop existing skills or you'd like to tackle something completely new, you're sure to find a course that suits you at one of our Adult Learning Centres.
