How to pay your moving traffic fine

The quickest and most convenient way may be to pay your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) using your debit or credit card online using our secure online payment system.

Please do not pay if you intend to appeal. The penalty will not increase while your appeal is reviewed.

Other ways to pay:

  • By telephone: Credit / debit card payments only.
    Automated payment line 029 2044 5900 (7 days a week).
  • By post to: Parking Services, PO Box 47, Cardiff, CF11 1QB

Cheques/Postal Orders should be made payable to “Cardiff Council” and marked on the reverse with the relevant PCN number. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted.

Failure to pay the correct postal charges may result in the non-delivery of your mail and this may affect your payment or correspondence being received by the Council within the necessary timescale. Allow 2 working days for 1st class and 5 days for 2nd Class.

Cash payments are not accepted. If you send cash by post the City of Cardiff Council accepts no liability in the event of its loss.

No, payment is considered an admittance of liability.

The moment we receive your appeal the case will be put on hold pending a decision. The penalty will not increase while your appeal is considered.
